Growing up, everyone thinks they are going to be something great like an astronaut or a princess. I may never live in a castle but I believe through hardwork and determination, I have what it takes to achieve great things in my career. I will be graduating from Washburn University with a Mass Media (Media Writing and Publishing emphasis) degree in May. After that, I plan to pursue teaching English as a second language to gain some worldly experience and then settle into a career preferably in the Communications and Marketing areas of the field. I love how this field is constantly evolving and what a crucial role the media plays in the interconnectedness of people's lives.
I am proficient in using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. I communicate well and having things organized is a must in my life.
Throughout my academic career, I have been the recipient of a multitude of awards and honors, including being named to Washburn's chapter of the Who's Who Among College & Universities and inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Now, it is time to put the skills I learned in school to good use in the "real world."
